Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Feed Talk's platform and services
1. What is Feed Talk?
Feed Talk is a community care and everyday services platform connecting Chinese-speaking seniors and their families in Australia with local support workers. We also offer farm-direct fresh vegetable, fruit and egg delivery.
2. Does Feed Talk directly provide care services?
Feed Talk is a community care and everyday services platform. While we do not directly employ or dispatch care workers, we offer a one-stop service coordination model: you may choose to communicate and negotiate arrangements directly with a support worker yourself, or you can have a Feed Talk service manager handle the matching, communication and ongoing coordination on your behalf. Either approach is available at your convenience.
3. Does Feed Talk have a physical presence in Australia?
Yes. Feed Talk is headquartered in Melbourne and currently serves the Chinese community in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs. For updates on additional service areas, please contact us or check the website for announcements.
4. How do I find a suitable support worker?
You can browse our Workers page and filter by language, service type and location. You can also contact us directly and our service manager will recommend suitable matches and assist with the arrangements.
5. How are support workers vetted?
Our platform reviews the relevant qualifications and work experience of support workers listed on our platform. Clients are also welcome to verify a worker's qualifications, insurance and background before confirming a service, and may ask the service manager for assistance.
6. How is pricing determined?
Our service manager will coordinate and recommend suitable support workers based on your budget. You may also discuss fees directly with the worker. We recommend agreeing in writing on the scope, duration, pricing and cancellation terms before services commence.
7. How do I pay for services?
The payment method is agreed between the client and the support worker. If you need assistance, a Feed Talk service manager can help with communication and coordination. Once the service is completed and confirmed by the client, our platform collects the service fee according to the pre-agreed payment method.
8. What if I'm not satisfied with the service?
We recommend first communicating directly with your chosen support worker. If the issue cannot be resolved, contact a Feed Talk service manager for mediation. Where liability is clear, we can process a refund for the client from the service bond. For detailed cancellation and refund terms, please refer to our Refund Policy.
9. What areas does delivery cover?
Currently, fresh vegetable, fruit and egg delivery primarily covers the Greater Melbourne area. Please confirm specific delivery coverage before placing an order.
